John Gilles was born in Durand, Wisconsin, a small rural town in the heart dairy farming country.
He is a military veteran and served in the United States Air Force from 1979 to 1991. His duty locations included Texas, Mississippi, Florida, Island of Guam (15 months), United Kingdom (4 years) and a 4 year special duty assignment as one of two enlisted members on the immediate office staff to the Superintendent of the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO.
After completing military service John has served as Executive Assistant to the El Paso County District Attorney, as a legal assistant in the Larimer County District Attorney’s Office and as a Judicial Assistant to 2 county court judges in the Colorado Judicial Branch. He joined Erik G. Fischer law office in 2008 as a legal assistant primarily in the criminal law arena and general office duties.
John and his wife, Mary Jo, have 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors actively hunting, fishing, riding horseback, road bicycling, and hiking.
