Location: Fort Collins, Colorado
Jon grew up in unincorporated Adams County, near Westminster/Federal Heights area, just north of the city and county of Denver and off the Boulder Turnpike. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Prelaw from Pensacola Christian College-2001 and paralegal certificate from Front Range Community College-2008. He started as an Administrative Assistant with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office in 2001; then, earned his paralegal certificate in 2008 while working there. He was promoted to a paralegal within the Colorado Attorney General’s Office and continued until May 2019. He then worked as a paralegal with Poulson, Odell & Peterson from May 2019 before joining Fischer Law Group in October 2021. As a paralegal, he primarily work with Russ Peterman doing personal injury law.
Jon has 20+ year of Civil Litigation experience with cases in a variety of civil courts such as Colorado Administrative courts, State and Appellate Courts for Colorado, Wyoming, and North Dakota; Federal District Court; and Federal Appellate Circuit court. He worked on the U.S. Supreme Court case involving Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission through all the court levels. His current and prior Civil Litigation experience is primarily focused on Employment and Civil Rights Law, Oil and Gas Law, and Personal Injury Law.
He enjoys spending time with wife and two boys during his time off.
