Accused Of DUI/DWAI?
As experienced criminal defense attorneys, handling DUI charges is a routine part of our work. We also understand that it is anything but routine for you.
At Fischer Law Group, our Fort Collins DUI lawyers defend clients throughout the Front Range of northern Colorado against charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (DUI) and Driving While Ability is Impaired (DWAI). Our attorneys respect the fact that these charges are not “business as usual” for you and can help you understand the law, your options, and the legal process. We will start by helping you understand what to do if pulled over.
What is the difference between DUI and DWAI in Colorado?
In Colorado, the blood-alcohol content (BAC) threshold for DUI is .08, whereas the DWAI legal limit falls into the .05-.08 range. Penalties for a conviction of either charge are severe.
